***PRESS RELEASE for "THE HOLE IN THE FENCE"***

"The Hole in the Fence" is based entirely on an intriguing true story of a 14 year old girl's escape from a Siberian labor camp during the Stalin years. With multiple twists and turns, it weaves together exiled Russians and escaping Jews caught in the web of frigid temperatures, Nazi soldiers, famine and romance. One of the cast, a member of the original family, will be joined by several relatives who are traveling to Nashville for the production.  "The Hole in the Fence"  first premiered in Boston.  A patron wrote the following: "I am a cynical Jew who doesn't believe in God,  but I must admit, I cried throughout the entire production.  Nothing has ever touched me so deeply as this story.  Thank you for bringing it to the stage".
"The Hole in the Fence" will be filmed for television.

"Tennessee's Newest Theatre Promotes Traditional Values Using Quality Productions"

A theatre company known for developing Broadway quality productions has located in Nashville and stages its first musical here this month. When the Prophets Dance will be performed on October 2, 3 and 15.  It is a humorous and inspiring creation of the Millennium Music Center which has produced eleven original productions over the last seven years.

The Millennium Music Center was known in New England for its quality productions.  However, what is not known to most fans is the company’s almost ‘prophetic’ beginnings.  The company is lead by the husband-wife team of Paul and Mona Johnian.  Mona is not a songwriter by trade, but an author (she has written 35 books).  However, in 1997, she felt led of God to begin writing songs.  As she began to sense God’s leading, the soft-spoken Alabama native said she told God, “God, if you want me to do this, I will.  However, I want it to be quality.”

Production quality has been a central component of the company’s offerings.  Paul is a professional violinist / arranger and lent these natural abilities to add final touches to Mona’s, and God’s, creations.  Each original song communicates Biblical truths, yet in the popular and appealing style that is unique to the Broadway stage.

Productions like When the Prophets Dance are not religious works.  However, they are religious in nature, as is our Declaration of Independence, Constitution and other pillars of American values.   Production themes challenge contemporary U.S. culture often in a tongue-in-cheek manner much like the play Cabaret challenged the Germany of an earlier era.   In When the Prophets Dance,  two couples Avi and Sarai, and Jeze and Ahab, Ivy League alumni, find themselves wrestling with present-day issues many Americans wrestle with as well.

Millennium Music Company productions are written to encourage audiences.  “They help you have hope about life,” said Mona.  They effectively do so on a backdrop of quality costumes, sets, and acting with scripts that are absent of profanity.  “The English language is powerful enough not to have to resort to profanity,” added Mona.

Redemption and consequences of unwise choices are played out with Biblical integrity.  Scriptural truths are woven throughout the fabric of the productions. The Millennium Music Center considers itself an investment back into a society that has been losing its interest in God.  Five families have relocated from Boston to the Nashville area to support the Center in a variety of ways.  Many of them found similar professions to support their families while the company establishes itself.

"Dancing with Broadway and the Bible"

It's right there in the Bible; there's nothing new under the Sun. And, apprently, that applies even to the battles between conservatives and liberals. When the Prophets Dance is a humorous Broadway style musical featuring Biblical characters Avi (Abraham) Sarah, Jezebel, and Ahab.
